Buen Domingo amigos del mundo! Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes fotos y memorias de nuestro paso y trabajo esta semana que acaba de terminar, en el colegio Horacio Zeballos, en Pueblo Nuevo, Chincha. Como en El Carmen, los estudiantes respondieron de forma maravillosa, una vez mas me ayudaron a demostrar que cuando se trabaja con compromiso, amor, creatividad, y verdadero deseo de sentirlos bien, hasta el ser mas dificil se abre a la posibilidad de aprender, crear y compartir. Este colegio tiene muchas virtudes pero tambien infinitas necesidades y areas que necesitan mejorar. Esperamos por el bien de estos extraordinarios estudiantes, que el equipo de trabajo del Horacio Zeballos empieze a trabajar en conjunto para levantar su autoestima colectiva y caminar como comunidad educativa hacia su salud emocional, psicologica y fisica...Gracias Horacio Zeballos!! Ninos no se olvide de nosotros y todo lo que les ensenhamos....!!!LOS QUEREMOS MUCHO!!!!!
Dear friends! Today I want to share with you some pictures and memories of our work at Horacio Zeballos School in Pueblo Nuevo, Chincha. Like our last school, kids at Horacio Zeballos were wonderfully receptive and despite the many limitations and issues we faced while working there, we were able to reach students, teachers and parents and get encouraging responses and results. This school is in a particularly dificult sector were drugs, gang activity, and violence are a daily reality for kids and the fact that we were able to come in and work with students, parents and even some teachers who were open to learning and willing to start working towards their integral health means ALOT to me. We found many virtues in this school but also many problems and many many areas in need of improvement, and I hope our work with the teaching team will help that institution commit to making the necessary changes to ensure health for their students and themselves.
Horacio Zeballos students continue to attend classes in temporary shelters and await still the rebuilding of their facility which was seriously damaged during the earthquake of 2007.
Estudiantes de esta escuela aun aprenden en modulos temporaneos y siguen esperando que reconstruyan su escuela la cual sufrio danhos severos durante el terremoto de 2007.
Amigos, aun necesitamos ayuda y aun mas en colegios como este...gracias a Bero y Brian pudimos comprar materiales que necesitabamos para poder sacar adelante esta semana y pagar por comida y trasporte...pero aun nos quedan varias semanas mas y la mayoria de colegios no cuenta con material o medios para darnos materiales de trabajo basicos....estos ninos y jovenes son una maravilla y merecen este trabajo nuestro...ayudennos a continuar llevandolo de forma adecuada a sus colegios....poco a poco con su ayuda vamos tomando pasitos hacia la salud integral....y les juro que no hay NADA en el mundo mas grande que ver los ojos de estos violentadisimos ninos sintiendo por fin que alguien le ve, les quiere, les valora, les respeta, y entrega todo por ellos...ayudenme a continuar...por favor...necesitamos donaciones, medicos, fotografos, MUSICOS, DENTISTAS......maymar22@gmail.com Gracias!
